Piece by the renowned self-taught painter which is part of a large collection of works that he completed during the last 3 years of his life.

The painting depicts young god Eros, an iconic element of the allegoric compositions of a painter who created a recognisable personal style. 

Stonecut by a Greek engraver, graduate of the Jean Kefalinos workshop, who developed into an important figure of 20th century modern-Greek engraving.

This painting brings to mind images from the tomb steles of Kerameikos, turning the rendering of the figure into a symbol.
